1829 Capped Bust Half Dollar PCGS MS64 CAC
Fully wholesome surfaces come alive with pewter and olive-gray patina, along with hints of dandelion throughout the central design on both the obverse and reverse. A well struck example, the only weakness noted is on stars 5-7 on the obverse, but this is typical of the type. Luster is sharp, and when tilted the fields thrive with a satiny color. This Bust Half was put away in its infancy and stored with exceptional surface preservation.
While unattributed, this is an O-112, R.1 The die diagnostics include the cluster of die lines to the right of the date, as well as the T-I alignment.
