Another scarce New Orleans Mint Eagle. The 1843-O is the second most common O-Mint $10 in the 1840’s, but this is applicable to lower grades. In AU, this coin is rare and provides a challenge for those looking for a quality example.
This example is has choice surfaces and and a deep green-gold hue, as a testament to its originality. We want to note that we feel the coin is more akin to a 53/55, as opposed to a 55/58, so we have priced it accordingly at Greysheet Bid for this date.
